Data Recovery and Transfer

Sandy will undertake the following types of data recovery:

• After a computer crash
• Transfer data from old to new computer.
• After a hard drive crash
• After a Blue Screen of Death
• Recovery from USB Thumb Drives and External Hard Drives

Would you like to transfer all your photos, documents, emails, Internet favourites from your old computer to new? Sandy offers a full and complete data transfer service which ensures that you have all the files you need from your old computer to new. He will then ensure, if you wish, that all data on your old machine is completely destroyed and offer to recycle your old computer. Currently, he does not charge for recycling.

Based on experience, data recovery costs vary depending on the size of the hard disk and the type of recovery required. Data recovery from a memory stick, for example, poses different problems because it's all one miniature chip. If your flash drive is broken at the tip or at the circuit where the tips are joined, sometimes it is possible to resolder just enough to retrieve the data.

If a clean room recovery is required, your media will require sending to a third party. This will be discussed with you if applicable.
